Nice video. I am looking at doing this next year possibly for my first 50 miler 👍🏻 i was confused when it said you finished 12 hrs 54 but you got sub 12 😂 This is a good goal to go for and think I will too!

Great video John, so many thanks for that. I'm curious as to the route you took up to Clough Head? The GPX shows a route going straight up (probably by Wainwright Route One), but I'm more inclined to go via The Old Coach Road as it looks easier to find and far safer. Any advice gratefully received.

I ran briefly with Andy Norman in this year’s Hardwolds 40. It wasn’t until I rewatched this video did I know John was a good friend of Andy’s. My partner and I will be marshalling the Hardwolds 80 this year. I’ll be thinking about John, who I never got chance to meet but feel I knew him.

I did the same... Until I got to the carpet bit. I have yet to bother. I also treated the roof as u did the side panels. Foil insulation, wool insulation, then foil insulation again. Hoping it stands the test of time. Sorry to see it got robbed

Putting insulation within the panels will create moisture that causes rust in the long turn.

At the beginning the music was doing my head in. Towards the end of the video I was slapping my hands and tapping my feet really good footage liked the music thanks guys put me in the mood to get back down there.
